By David Atangana

Kylian Mbappe Lottin, the French professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and captains the France national team is expected in Cameroon today Friday, July 5, 2023, MMI has learnt.

The player of international repute with Cameroonian roots will be accompanied during the visit by his mother.

An inside source who opted not to be named told MMI that, the visit is purely humanitarian given that the football star sponsors a good number of humanitarian projects in Cameroon.

“Kylian Mbappe and his mother will be in Cameroon today evening 5th July 2023,” the source said

Visiting Cameroon for the first time, the football legend according to our source, “will do a documentary with CRTV and also access his humanitarian works in the country managed by Yannick Noah.”

He is expected to spend two days in Yaounde and move to Douala on Saturday.

“He has been supporting pupils of ‘La Marfee’, a bilingual primary school owned by Yannick Noah with writing materials. His mother has visited the school this year twice with gifts for all the kids and pupils.” he added

Reports say security has been beefed around the school compound and “Workers in the school section have been stopped from coming to school until Monday 10th July”

It should be noted that though on holidays, teachers of La Marfee primary school are currently attending lectures “to acquire more knowledge in ICT because Kylian Mbappe has donated laptops to the school for teachers and the school authority has decided that all teachers must be literate in the ICT world”

These updates confirm earlier speculations that Kylian Mbappe was to visit Cameroon after he was spotted at the Cameroon Embassy in Paris.
