“If ever I fail to call you, and you are unable to hear from me as of tomorrow (Thursday, January 26, 2023), know that I have been eliminated,” are the words of Martinez Zogo’s lawyer, Louis Jules Anyuzoa.
According to reports, the lawyer for the murdered Cameroonian journalist has recently received several threats from anonymous individuals threatening to kill him.
“My life is in danger,” he confided to a relative, adding that he was “running out of the house.”
Martinez Zogo was brutally tortured to death and dumped by people believed to have had the intention of silencing him for good.
It is feared that the same perpetrators are now after the lawyer of the deceased journalist.
