The Cameroon Renaissance Movemen, MRC party has denied carrying out an attack on pro-regime publicist, Steve Fah. The party’s head, Prof Maurice Kamto today said the action is contrary to the MRC’s beliefs and political option. Steve Fah was attacked and beaten in Belgium yesterday by anti-regime activists.

In response to the soaring Cholera cases recorded in the South West region, Governor Bernard Okalia Bilai has held a crisis meeting with health officials. Among tope recommendations was the construction of more toilets within 30 days and the use of clean drinking water.


Still in connection with the South West Region’s Cholera outbreak, the Cameroon Development Corporation, CDC has donated 20 beds to accommodate more patients. This comes after images of filled hospitals in Limbe went viral with patients being treated on verandas.


Health officials in the North West Region have called for increased vigilance following the surge in cholera cases in the neighboring South West region. To prevent a further spread, they have urged residents to maintain sanitary measures raise hygiene standards.



Members of the ruling Cameroon Peoples Democratic CPDM today turned out to celebrate the party’s 37th anniversary. Events were held across the 10 regions of the country to mark the anniversary. The party’s President, Paul Biya ironically, was no where to be found.



A family in Yokaduma, East Region is mourning the death of five of its kids. They died after eating bread and chocolate believed to have been poisoned. Accusing fingers are being pointed at their mother’s ex- lover.


Indomitable Lions coach, Rigobert Song has asserted the squad’s readiness for tomorrow’s World Cup qualifier game against Algeria. During a press conference in Yaounde today, Song and striker, Aboubakar Vincent told the press they were ready for the visitors. Both sides face each other tomorrow evening at the Japoma stadium in Douala.


Ahead of the much anticipated Cameroon-Algeria game, FECAFOOT President Samuel Eto’o visited the lions in training today to share words of encouragement. He was accompanied by Sports and Physical Education Minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi and the Littoral governor, Samuel Ivaha Diboua.
