A gang comprising of a man and his two wives was apprehended yesterday July 1 after stealing resident’s goats in Dackvet, Babouantou in the West Region.
The family of thieves said to be specialized in the theft of goats, was caught red-handed by a villager who later alerted the residents of the locality.
The resident, attracted by the cries of his goats tied behind his house decided to check on them when he noticed a group of persons taking them away.
He followed the gang while alerting the population, after which they were apprehended.
When intercepted, one of the wives decried “It was Tala who told us that he breeds wild goats.”
Meanwhile, the husband told the population that they were rather followed by the goats who according to them had no owners.
The population administered severe beatings on the family of three after which they were handed over to the forces of law and order.
