Man dies few days after attempting suicide

A man whose name we got as Lonsti Borel has died days after attempting to put an end to his life.

He gave up the ghost days in the locality of Medougong, Bamoungong in the West Region of Cameroon.

After his studies, like every other youth, Borel left his native land for the Country’s capital city, Yaounde in search for a greener pasture.

Unable to make it, Borel reportedly returned to his native land, in order to understand the origin of his failure.

On the morning of Wednesday June 1,the latter, after the sale of bread in the Mbouda locality, gathered money earned from the sales and purchased a litter of Aproxone 200 SL, often used to burn fresh grass on farms.

After purchasing the toxic liquid, Borel reportedly took a  photo of the product, which he later sent to his brother alongside a message “I am tired of living this ordeal”.

Worried, the brother alerted other family members who immediately embarked on a search for Borel.

He was later found in a house in the neighborhood having consumed the liquid already.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was taken care of for three days, after which he left the hospital for his home.

However, on the morning of Friday June 3, Borel began having breathing issues. Indeed the liquid was still at work in his system.

Despite efforts by the family members to rescue the latter, Borel finally gave up the ghost later in the afternoon.
