Manchester United agree €4m add-on for André Onana

Manchester United have agreed to pay an additional €4m to Inter Milan for André Onana after the goalkeeper sealed a €51m contract with the Premier League club.
The add-on is triggered by Onana’s appearances for United, meaning he will earn a total of €55m over the course of his five-year deal.
Onana, who was banned for 12 months for doping last year, is set to enter the United Kingdom today.
Onana is scheduled to fly to England on Today for a physical and to formally sign his contract with Manchester United.
If all goes as planned, the goalie should be able to fly with the group for the club’s pre-season trip. United will play Lyon at Murrayfield on Wednesday before heading to the United States, where they will remain until the end of July.
The 27-year-old Cameroon international is seen as a long-term replacement for David de Gea, whose contract expired at the end of June.
The now former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is said to be in talks with his next club after being given permission to leave Old Trafford earlier this month.
The Red Devils confirmed last week that the Spaniard had left the club when his contract expired, ending a spectacular 12-year stay in Manchester.
De Gea declined the 12-month extension on offer because he feared he did not have the full faith of manager Erik ten Hag.
Al-Nassr is one of the parties who are interested De Agwa, creating the likelihood for a reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, the Riyadh-based team is now on a transfer embargo due to missing payments, allowing rival Saudi clubs to swoop.
De Gea initially appeared ready to stay at United, with the goalkeeper willing to accept a wage reduction in order to compete for a starting spot.
With an agreement with Inter over Onana in the works, United dropped their offer, prompting De Gea to walk away from the negotiations and end his 12-year affiliation with the club.
Onana is a highly-rated goalkeeper who has been capped 26 times by Cameroon.
He is known for his agility and shot-stopping ability, and he is also good with his feet.
Onana’s arrival will boost United’s goalkeeping options, and he is expected to challenge De Gea for the number one spot.
