Mankon: Celebration of late Fon Angwafo III’s legacy begins

The people of Mankon Fondom, have begun celebrating the legacy of late Fon Angwafo III in a festival called: ‘Nukwi Ne Abubte’

The month long event kicked off this Thursday December 15, 2022 at the Mankon palace.

49-year-old crowned Monarch HRH Fru Asaah Angwafo IV is presiding over the event. The occasion marks the end of his father’s reign and the beginning of his (crowned Monarch) era according to the Mankon tradition and customs.

Present at the opening are regional and local administrative authorities; and local elected officials and the head of state’s representative.

The event is due to end on January 15, 2023.
