Security forces have raided mile 16, a neighborhood in Buea, South West region taking away many young men.
A source whose brother and two children are among those arrested says they were pulled out of bed early today.
He said “… they stormed the house and the husband got up with his ID. They told him to go out on his clothes and follow them. They did same with the children.”
“In Mile 16, children between 14 and 20… They take u with or without ID and take them to the station said they are more than 200 of them there …” he adds
Mass arrests in parts of Buea are fast becoming a new normal.
Over the last weeks several victims have been students of the University of Buea, as hundreds were taken to the Molyko stadium and their images and identification details recorded.
Authorities till date have remained mute over the arrests.
