Families of victims of a fatal road accident in Douala yesterday are still counting their losses.
The accident happened at the East entrance into the city when a heavy-duty truck transporting logs overturned on the main road.
Reports say the truck crushed some seven people as it fell.
Among the victims, was the driver of a PRADO on whose car a big log fell.
A large crowd as well as security and emergency forces rushed to the scene to provide first aid.
The road remains partially closed for several hours making transit difficult.
Yesterday’s road accident added to many others recorded in the Littoral regional capital annually.
Authorities are yet to give any details on the accident and the number of deaths recorded.
