Manyu: Separatists allegedly kidnap Reverend Father, Sister, set church ablaze

Separatist fighters have allegedly kidnapped a Reverend Father and a Reverend Sister after setting a church ablaze in Nchang village in the Manyu Division of the South West Region.

The incident occurred in the afternoon of Friday, September 16, 2022. The attack was carried out at the St Mary Catholic church.

It is alleged that the separatist fighters attacked the church for holding a mass on Sunday, thereby not respecting the ghost town imposed by them.

The church was consumed by the raging fire. Authorities of the locality are yet to react to the incident.
