Douala: Johnson Suleman’s ‘prophetic declaration’ sparks controversy among faithful

A two-day crusade in Douala by renowned Nigerian preacher Johnson Suleman is over but not without controversy.

The Omega Fire Ministries preacher pulled thousands in the town as he ministered for two days, staging miracles and rendering prophecies.

However, many have called him out for allegedly ‘selling’ blessings calling followers to sow financial seeds of up to half a million.

“I found it strange that Apostle Suleman centered his preaching on ‘seed-sowing’ and miracles. He even said that those who want to sow seeds must start their sowing of seeds as from FCFA 500.000 if not, they should sit down” CNA quoted a participant at the gathering.

The same source added:
“I was expecting to hear a gospel of salvation and an altar call where sinners would come and offer their lives to Christ but instead all I heard was miracles, deliverance and sowing of seeds”.

This is not the first tien the preacher is raising dust due to his activities. Among others, his visit to Cameroon was marked by another controversy over his alleged sexual relations with multiple women.
