Martin Camus Mimb sextapes: Lawyers, others demand justice for teenager Malicka Bayemi

Malicka Bayemi is only 15 years and a few months old. She is a young student legally not at the age to make informed sexual decisions. While this makes it a criminal act with a minor for anyone involved with her, the legality of the incident has been slow in making its way to the front pages of public discourse.

The scene is the office of Martin Camus Mimb, journalist and ace sports commentator. The videos are revealing sex scenes, where despite being one of the central characters in the “drama”, Malicka Bayemi is neither the one who recorded nor put out the videos and pictures, MMI has was told by reliable sources.
As of now, lawyers and persons of goodwill are putting up a spirited legal battle to defend teenager Malicka Bayemi considered to be the victim of a pervert network at the center of which is journalist Martin Camus Mimb.

Indeed, Martin Camus Mimb is probably going through one of the worst times of his life. Since the evening of Wednesday, June 16, 2021, an obscene video, shot in his office, located in the premises of his sports-centred radio, RSI, went viral on social media.

In this video, it is easy to make out a man and a woman engaging in sexual acts as well as photos of the Sports Commentator appearing in the background.

Faced with the controversy, Mr Mimb gave his version of the facts on Facebook: “everyone will notice that the clothing that I wear on the photo taken with this lady during the delivery of my book is different from that worn by the concerned in this viral video. This is unacceptable and unacceptable. I understand that there are many motives for this and I am deeply shocked,” explains the sports analyst and commentator.

“It is important to bring to everyone’s attention that this young lady came to my office this morning with her boyfriend in order to get my book signed,” Mr. Mimb explained further.


“In addition to this dedication, this couple said they were willing to discuss with me the many projects that could enhance the brightness of my activities. Such an eventuality, requiring a serene discussion, I naively asked them to wait for me patiently in my office, the time for me to finish an intervention on the air. I left my office and came back ten minutes later to finish my discussion with them without suspecting anything.”

Mimb says he only discovered with bewilderment, through social media pictures and videos, that in his absence, they had transformed his workspace into a place of decadence.
Mr. Mimb promised to drag the lady and her boyfriend to court.


Turn-around of events
In a turnaround of events relating to the circulation of a nude video and pictures of the young lady believed to have made love in the office of the Director of Radio Sport Infos, RSI, in Douala, Martin Camus Mimb has said that he knows the supposed boyfriend of the young girl whom she visited his office together.

Mr Mimb had earlier said that he did not know this man. But it turned out to be a remarkably close friend of his, Wilfrid Eteki, who is also allegedly close to former footballer Samuel Eto’o Fils.

After a whistle-blower, Boris Bertolt gave the men 48 hours to apologise to the young lady else he will reveal the truth, Mr. Eteki said on his Facebook page that he was sorry for sending the video to the “wrong person” after a “wrong manipulation”.

He also pleaded with the girl to forgive him.

After this revelation, Mr. Mimb who had earlier said he did not know the “boyfriend” of the girl, accepted the apology of Eteki and said though it has tarnished the image of his company, he has forgiven him.

But both men have deleted their posts hours after Cameroonians discovered that Mr. Mimb’s version of the story on day one has been all lies. He knew the person who took those pictures but vowed that he has never met him.
This has raised eyebrows as many think that both men took part in the act and later exposed the young girl.

Public Opinion divided

Despite these recent revelations, Cameroonians are divided on the subject. While some believe in the innocence of Mr. Mimb, others believe the opposite. They think the sports commentator is a pervert who takes advantage of his disability to abuse naive women.

“You will understand very well who this man is. Mimb’s disability should not make us forget that he is responsible. There is no doubt about his involvement. My wish is that the public prosecutor near the courts of Douala takes up this case so that justice is done and that such deviant behaviour cannot be repeated. Let’s denounce these deviant behaviours. May all the women victims of Camus denounce him!” said Adorlac Lamissia, journalist for the French daily Le Jour.

Other known perverts like Jean de Dieu Momo, Cameroon’s Minister Delegate to the Minister of Justice have openly supported Camus Mimb, even though the likes of artists such as Maahlox have been quick to withdraw their support.

The Brigade Anti-Sardinards (BAS), has openly declared support for the teenager whose nudity was pushed to social media without her consent. The Cameroonian anti-Biya movement has warned that those supporting Camus Mimb will face the music.
