The names of victims of Sunday’s onslaught in Mautu, South West region are now known.
Mimi Mefo Info has procured the list of those killed in the military raid, with the oldest being a 50-year-old woman and the youngest a 6-year-old girl.
The nine dead include: Tambe Anna, 50 years old; Shey Keisa, 6 years old; Obenegwa David, 30 years old; Tembe Daniel, 32 years old; Bruno Takang, 22 years old; Ngoto Valentine Akama, 32 years old; Takang Anyi Roger, 20 years old; Ndakam Pascal, 22 years old and Egoshi Lucas, 25 years old.
While the army has denied responsibility, locals maintain the act was carried out by men believed to be soldiers.
Army spokesperson, Naval Captain Atonfack Guemo Cyrille Serge, says the soldiers acted in compliance with the regulations governing combat against separatist fighters.
