Despite not being from a family of singers, Harris Sikah got hold of the art since he was 12, by writing poems and song lyrics.
Sikah grew up in the town of Kumbo in the North West Region of Cameroon. The town is renowned for the academic prowess of its inhabitants who have often topped the country’s educational charts.
Yet, Sikah dared take another path, as he began singing at the age of 15. He later transitioned to Afro Pop/Rap sound.
It was until he turned 23 in 2017 that the artist put out his first official music, “Happy Day”. He went on to collaborate on the Ballerz Music crew’s Hambok EP and viral hit song “Mini Mini”.
To him, his sound is pretty much versatile. This, is as he started off raping and later graduated to a lot of different stuff. He also produces music.
Despite his rising music success, Sikah did not forget nor forsake where he came from. He hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Communication Technologies at the University of Yaounde.

Now 28, Sikah’s drive and passion have only matured the more and his art, perfected. His latest song is titled “Viban”.
“I’m really obsessed with bringing in more light into the world through my music. That, I believe, is the only way to make a difference while being myself,” he talks about the song.

Through music, Sikah adds, “I want people to feel something different because we are so love deficient and if people can experience the same feelings I feel while creating my art, it will be a start towards a positive timeline.”
“Viban” is now available on all streaming platforms. The song remains a testament of the artist’s skill and ability to get you hooked unto his art. Definitely one of Cameroon’s best.
