Meet Pa Tanangue Etienne, 81, the oldest person to take part in Buea Mountain Race

At the age of 81, Pa Tanangue Etienne was the oldest athlete at the just-ended Mount Cameroon Race of Hope in Buea.

The competition took place on Saturday February 25, 2023.

He hails from Dschang in the West Region and was among 58 athletes who ran in the Veteran Category of the race.

The Veterans were however given very little recognition at the race and the best of them went home with less than 50,000 francs, as the younger champions bagged home 10 million.
