The Social Democratic Front party has fired 32 senior members of the party who sued the Chairman and Founder, Ni John Fru Ndi, for allegedly violating the constitution.
The members’ dismissal, which came at the party’s national executive committee meeting in Yaounde on February 25, was in reference to Article 8.2 of the party’s constitution, which charges them of promoting anti-party activities.
“I have never sent
anyone away from the party, but,
rather the activities of some militants
got them entangled with Article 8.2 of
the party text,” said Ni John Fru Ndi, who will be resigning as Chair during the party’s elective general assembly in July.
The 32 militants include: Hon. Chief Tchatchouang Paul; Mahop

The 32 party bigwigs had earlier met in Mbouda, West Region, where they resolved to file a case at the Mfou Magistrates Court against the Chairman Ni John Fru Ndi, and the Secretary General Barrister Djomgang Adeline, calling on them to annul certain decisions taken last year.
They later withdrew the case from court, before refiling on February 10. Hearing is scheduled for March 2.
