A teacher or the Government Primary School, Melong in the Litoral Region has died under unclear circumstances in his house.
Jean Robert Djambo died on Sunday, September 5, on the eve of the start of the new academic year. According to a statement from his wife, Josian Folefack, the deceased was in high spirits when they both woke on the morning of his passing away.
Josiane, also a teacher, said her husband died while he was preparing his lessons for the start of the school year. “He got up at 5:30 for the preparations and we made plans for the week,” she testified.
Neighbors of the couple say they were woken up by the cry of the man on the morning he died. “We noticed that he had fallen when he tried to open the door for his animals to come out, and that was how it began,” revealed a close neighbor.
Elements of the Melong Gendarmerie were dispatched to the site to analyze the situation. An investigation meanwhile has been initiated to establish the cause of the teacher’s mysterious death.
