Meme Division: Basic Education Chief of Bilingualism dies in road accident

Ndande Ekaney, Chief of Bilingualism at the Divisional Delegation of Basic Education for Meme Division, has died in a motorcycle accident in Yaoundé.

Reports say a truck crushed him and the bike rider to death on Tuesday, May 9, at Mbankomo, a locality on the outskirts of Yaounde.

“Witnesses at the scene of the horrific accident stated that the vehicle of the deceased suffered from a fault along the road, forcing him to park in order to get a mechanic to carry out repairs,” reported Yaounde-based radio station, Express FM.

“He boarded a motorcycle to look for a mechanic and, in the course, the killer truck ran on them. He died alongside the bike rider,” the radio station furthered.

Ndande Ekaney was also a Municipal Councillor of Idabato Council in the Bakassi Peninsula, Ndian Division of the South-west Region.

His body, and that of the bike rider, were taken to a hospital mortuary at Ngoumou neighborhood in Yaounde.
