An ex-Amba fighter has reportedly been neutralized in Nyikob in Njikwa sub division of the North West region.
Three other persons were taken away in Nyebai, quarters in Oshie village still in Njikwa sub division.
According to sources, soldiers invaded the village at about 1:30 pm on Wednesday June 1 to carry out a raid.
Blinda model, an ex- Amba fighter who had reportedly dropped arms for over two years now was gunned down by the military in the watchful eyes of his parents, during the operation.
” He joined the amba at the beginning of the crisis but later on abandoned it and has been living a quiet life in the village for over two years now” a source told MMI
It is reported that the military later proceeded to a nearby quarter known as Nyebai, where they carried out a similar attack.
However, this time around three other ex-Amba fighters were taken away.
“They then proceeded to Nyebai where others who also abandoned the fight some years back were found and arrested three persons” an inhabitant of the locality disclosed.
The three persons are said to have been transported to the military barrack at Njikwa where they have been held hostage till date.
