The Military Lionesses of Cameroon have again thrashed their opponents as they successfully defeat Germany in their last game.
On July 17, 2022, the seventh day of the 11-day competition, Cameroon defeated Germany 3-0 while playing in the CISM World Military Women’s Football Championship in Spokane, Washington.
Suzie Mbiandji and Ebika Tabe scored two goals in short succession for Cameroon to start the first half.
After Cameroon scored twice, Germany came back to defend well against an aggressive opponent, relying on their talented goalkeeper Gina-Marie Mitschke to make several saves and prevent what might have been a blowout victory for Cameroon.
Mitschke continued to produce outstanding saves for Germany in the second half, while the Lioness’ goalkeeper had nothing to do.
After 80 minutes, Leslie Eto’s goal for Cameroon allowed them to eventually get past Germany’s goalkeeper once more.
Cameroon missed goals by millimeters on a half-dozen occasions in the minutes that followed till the finish of the game.
On July 19, Cameroon will play Belgium.
United States, Belgium, Cameroon, Canada, France, Germany, Mali, Netherlands, South Korea, and other teams are also competing.
With additional countries expected to compete the following year and in years to come, this is the most countries competing overall ever.
