Miss Cameroon at Miss Universe
Miss Cameroon, Princesse Issie, failed to secure a spot among the top 10 finalists in the 72nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
The global event, featuring 85 contestants from around the world, witnessed the selection of 10 remarkable finalists, including three inspiring African women recognized for their impactful projects, stories, and advocacy.
The top 10 finalists of the “Voice of Change” segment, which focuses on projects contributing to positive societal transformation, include:
– Ana Barbara Coimbra (Angola): She is advocating for zero hunger, good health, and well-being.
– Bryoni Govender (South Africa): A passionate gender equality activist.
– Brooke Bruk-Jackson (Zimbabwe): Advocating for poverty alleviation, gender equality, decent work, and economic growth.
Despite Miss Cameroon’s Princesse Issie’s commendable efforts in championing the fight against breast cancer, her project did not secure her a coveted spot in the top 10.
The 22-year-old beauty queen, who has been diligently fulfilling her duties since the inception of her mandate, expressed her commitment to various causes, including a recent call for peace in Cameroon following the Mamfe massacre.
Princesse Issie’s exclusion from the top 10 was met with disappointment, especially considering the high expectations that surrounded her journey in the competition.
