Mola Njoh Litumbe dies at 101

One of the oldest and staunch advocates of the Southern Cameroons pro-independence movement, Mola Njoh Litumbe has reportedly passed on.

He is said to have died in a Douala hospital on May 26, 2020.

The firm and vocal stance of Pa Mola as he is commonly called on the quest for restoration of statehood of the English-speaking people has never been a secret.

He has suffered arrests, house arrests, intimidation as he constantly aired his views on the subject without fear of the Yaounde regime. Mola Njoh Litumbe ha stake the case of Southern Cameroonians to international jusrisdictions and institutions.

Born on February 1, 1919, in Victoria, Mola Njoh Litumbe was the fourth child of his parents: Chief John Manga Williams and his mother, Iteki Ida Williams née Do’o of Bonabile in Bimbia. 

He died at the at of 101.
