Money might have changed hands for SDF to run for 2020 elections – Shewa David

The divisional organising secretary of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) in Donga Mantung division in the North West has accused the party hierarchy for receiving billions of francs cfa from the government of president Paul Biya to run for the 2020 twin elections.

In a release signed by Shewa David Jestel Monday November 25th 2019, the parliamentary aspirant for Donga Mantung West (Ako/Misaje) asked the chairman of the SDF to reverse his decision of asking militants of the SDF to go in for the elections. Shewa David has given Chairman Ni John Fru Ndi a 48 hours ultimatum to cancel the decision for the interest of the suffering masses in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon.

Shewa David holds strongly in the three page document that the first vice president of the SDF party Hon. Joshua Oshi and other party authorities are manipulating the chairman of the party for personal interest. He justifies this by saying Hon. Joshua Oshi lured Ni John Fru Ndi to cancel an earlier decision taken in Douala on the 12th of August for the party not to run for elections.

The Donga Mantung divisional organising secretary of the SDF regrets that the respect Cameroonians had for the party in the 1990s is fast dying down because of several decisions taken that are contrary to the wishes of the general population. The native of Akwaja village in Ako Sub division is of the opinion that SDF should not go for any election when tension is still at its apex in the anglophone region of Cameroon.

At the time of this report, SDF party hierarchy has not reacted to the accusation or receiving money from the state to run for elections.
