Yong Sports Academy and PWD Bamenda recorded victories in the MTN elite I championship while new comers into elite II, Bafut Rangers recorded a one the elite one championship, and Rangers FC Bafut played a zero all tie with Unisport of Bafang.

Playing in Douala, Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda defeated AS Fortuna two goals to one. With the injury to their main striker Tegemo Emmanuel, Toung Warren, and Abena Messina.

On their part, PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda recorded a hard-fought 2#1 victory against relegation-threatened New Stars of Douala. Goals from Aboubakar Mohammed and Tchaoua Leger were enough for the Abakwa Boys to return to winning ways after two consecutive draws.
Yong Sports Academy is now second in Pool A of the league with 12 points while PWD Bamenda is third in Pool B with 8 points.

The coach of Rangers FC Bafut, Anumewa Franklin saluted the efforts of his players saying Unisport is a strong team and it’s quite a feat to force them to a draw at home.

“They have an experienced team. For my boys to come and play against them and grab a point, it’s a good point for us. We will keep fighting and see how we can get three points in the next match”, coach Anumewa said.
