Murder of Little Ndiale Caroline: Barrister Tamfu Richard tackles controversial army reaction

Human Rights lawyer, Barrister Tamfu Richard has criticized the outing made by the Ministry of Defence regarding the assassination of the 3-year-old school-going kid in Buea.

To him, it would have been better if the army had stayed quiet altogether, instead of misrepresenting the facts in a bid to defend the officer who gunned down the 5-year-old kid.

He also criticized the Head of State, President Paul Biya’s silence as the country rages on after the incident in Buea, suggesting that the sealed lips of the president will only serve as more provocation.

“We have not heard a word from the President of the Republic who is the Head of State, Chief of the Armed Forces, and the guarantor of the lives and properties of Cameroonians, ” he wrote on his Facebook page.

Barrister Tamfu Richard suggested that in other countries like France, the president of the Republic would show concern for the delicate situation by going to the scene to comfort the affected families.

“Here in Cameroon 24 hours after what happened in Buea, it is sealed lips,” he said.
