Mutengene: Four Police officers dismissed from training over drug trafficking

Four Police officers have been dismissed from the Mutengene police college in the South West Region of Cameroon for drug trafficking.

The officers whose names MMI got as Tobokbe Don Fils, Anyouzoua Anyouzoua Claude, Mvana Meyanga Jean-Claude, and Zambo Aboui Christian Loic were dismissed from the Police Training and Application Center (CIAP) on Friday, March 31, 2023.

While one was charged with repetitive misconduct and unexplained absence of 45 days, the others were found guilty of possession, “consumption of hard drugs, and consistent drunkenness.”

They were presented to the other trainees at the center during an assembly on Friday just before their exclusion.

Reacting to the incident, the Mutengene Police training and application center declared that they “refused to follow, to apply, to execute the instructions given to them since their arrival at the CIAP. They are their own gravediggers.”

History

When the Mutengene Police Training College was created in 1960, it was called the “West Cameroon Police College” (WCPC).

It was later renamed the Police Training and Application Center (CIAP) by presidential decree on March 13, 1975.

The CIAP train peacekeepers and police inspectors across Cameroon.
