“The National Assembly is convened in Ordinary Session on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. sharp,” reads the decree signed by the Speaker, Cavaye Yéguié Djibril.

The decree further highlights the procedural importance of the session.

“This Order of the Bureau will be registered, then published in French and English, and communicated wherever necessary,” it read.

This bilingual publication ensures accessibility and compliance with Cameroon’s official language policies.

Highlight of the first Ordinary Session, will be the election of the new bureau to pilot affairs at the National Assembly. It shall also be the first time plenary activities will be taking place in the ultramodern new National Assembly building. The building was inaugurated at the end of the third ordinary session in Yaoundé last December, 2024.

This comes as political tensions in Cameroon are at an all time high, with presidential elections expected later in the year.
