Ngida Lawrence Che seals shops in Mbengwi
By David Atangana
The Divisional Officer (D.O), of Mbengwi, has begun using his administrative whip against business persons adhering to Ghost Town operations, shortly after being transferred from Nkambe.
Ngida Lawrence Che, according to members of the community has sealed all shops in Mbon market in Mbengwi town
Locals were taken aback when they got up on Friday, May 19, 2023, to see their shops officially sealed.
The action is taking place in the midst of a two-day ‘ghost town’ imposed by the Ambazonia separatist movement to frustrate the National Day celebrations which come up on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
The D.O. was recently transferred from Nkambe to Mbengwi in the Momo Division of the North West region.
His former area of jurisdiction knows no ghost town.
Commentators say he is a ‘Johny just come’ and Will Soon bow to the realities of his new environment.
