Residents of Bamenda are decrying the increasing presence of garbage abandoned along major roads in the city. This comes after days if no work by the sanitation company in charge of cleaning the town. This is after armed groups in the area threatened them as well as council workers.




In Yaounde, a similar situation prevails for a week now. Sanitation workers have not been seen in major streets. Reports say they are on strike for the second time in under six months.





The families of three drivers in Mamfe, South West region are mourning their deaths. The drivers were killed yesterday when men believed to be separatist fighters attacked a bus station in the town. The men, armed to the teeth also set some cars ablaze before taking off.





Selected journalists and bloggers are currently undergoing the 6th session of the African Fact checking Fellowship in the Far North Region. They are being educated and exchanging ideas on basic notions of collecting and treatment of information with a view to reducing online and offline violence and fake news. The session’s second day ended today.




Staff of the Yaounde City Council today had an educative session on health risks at the place of work. They were drilled by health experts who also taught them how to prevent these health-related issues. The seminar is in the build up to labor day on May 1st.



A lady and her son lost their lives in FOTO, a locality in Dschang, West region today. They were crushed to death by a truck. The mother and son had boarded a motorcycle when the incident occurred.



Cameroon has been drawn in Group B of the 2022 women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The lionesses will clash with Zambia, Tunisia and Togo. The tournament takes place in Morocco from 2 to 23 July 2022.
