A store operator, Nelson Cho, 26 has gone missing while under military detention in Santa, Mezam division of the North West Region. According to sources, he was picked up from his home village in Baba, with claims he was an Ambazonian fighters.
MTN-Cameroon has been accused of abandoning a teenager believed to have been rendered bedridden after two of it’s poles hit her last year. The 18-year-old girl is believed to be paralyzed following the accident, and has not been aided by the mobile phone company.
A gang of seven alleged robbers have been arrested and paraded in Sangmalima by security forces for multiple robbery incidents. These alleged criminals also confessed to being ex-convicts and also took responsibility for several robbery incidents in the Dja and Lobbo Division in the South Region.

Trade Minister, Luc Magloire Mbarga, has come under criticism after he urged Cameroonians to regulate eating habits to cope with hikes in prices of basic commodities. The Minister’s statement, some say, is a subtle form of acceptance, after c denial of the hikes for several months now.
Addressing parliament today, Agriculture MInister, Gabriel Mbairobe said flour from cassava and potatoes should be used to substitute wheat flour. This he said, could possibly caution the recent price hike attributed to the Russia-Ukraine war. Cameroon like many other nations globally gets most it’s flour from both nations.
Government has yielded to pressure from University lecturers, and has started paying research allowances. The lecturers’ syndicate had threatened a strike action if government failed to heed to its demands by June 2, 2022.
