Cameroonian students blocked in Ukraine have called on the Cameroonian Government to help evacuate them from Ukraine. Many of them are at the Ukrainian-Polish border after being refused access into Poland.



Some students in the Far North Region have protested against the unfair treatment of their teachers. Teachers across the country are protesting against unfair treatment and non-payment of salaries for some.


At least 3 Anglophone IDPs in Eseka; the Centre Region of Cameroon have been released from captivity by forces of law and order. The operation was carried out on February 25, 2022. The kidnappers are yet to be apprehended.



Andrew Motanga, former Mayor of the Limbe City Council, was laid to rest in Limbe during the weekend. The deceased mayor was credited for the development of the town. Cameroonian dignitaries present at the funeral include; Celestine Ketcha Courtes, Housing Minister, and Dr. Nalova Lyonga, Secondary Education Minister.


There is an ongoing tight race for the position of Limbe City Mayor. The Senior Divisional Officer for Fako has invited some key stakeholders for an extraordinary session on Wednesday March 02 to get a new mayor.


The heads of some organizations of Persons With Disabilities in the South West Region have been drilled on braving the odds during crises. This happened at a two-day workshop themed ‘Inclusive Humanitarian Action and Disaster Preparedness’, hosted by the Christian Blind Mission in Buea.


Rigobert Song, former captain of the Indomitable Lions, has been named captain of the national team. He was appointed, today, to replace Antonio Concenciao. He will be assisted by Migne Sebastian.
