President Paul Biya has ordered the disbursement of 84.7 Million FCFA to families of the Olembe Football Stadium stampede victims. Families of the 8 deceased victims will be attended to tomorrow February 25, 2022, while those who got injured will be taken care of on February 28, 2022.


CPDM elites of the North West Region of Cameroon have sent a motion of support to President Paul Biya and called for him to stand in the upcoming Presidential election. The petition signed by over 34 section Presidents of the CPDM North West Region was conveyed through Cameroon’s Prime Minister, Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute. President Biya it should be recalled, is 89 years old.


At least three suspects have been placed in custody in Douala for allegedly stealing plastic chairs from a ceremony. They were apprehended by forces of law and order, a week after an investigation was opened.


The Douala 1 Municipality has launched an awareness campaign intending to curb accidents within the town. It will run from February 24-25, 2022. The campaign will focus on respect for the highway code and better transportation practices.


The North West delegate for trade has blamed soaring prices in Bamenda on the Anglophone crisis. Reacting to the rise in prices if basic commodities, he said control teams would make rounds to ensure denizens are not exploited.

Thousands of Cameroonians remain stranded in Ukraine as the country’s conflict with Russia escalates. While some other African nations have been evacuating their citizens, the Cameroon government is yet to make any official moves. Dozens are believed to have been killed in Russian airstrikes already, including civilians.
