Neymar has signed a two-year deal with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, it was announced this Monday. The Brazilian forward, who was out of contract with Paris Saint-Germain, is reportedly set to earn a staggering £25 (€30) million per season at his new club.

The move comes after a disappointing few years for Neymar at PSG. The 31-year-old scored over 45 goals in 186 appearances for the French club, but he was unable to help them win the Champions League. He also faced criticism for his off-field antics, including his infamous diving.

Al Hilal are hoping that Neymar can help them win the Asian Champions League for the first time since 2019. The Saudi club has Jorge Jesus as manager.

Neymar’s move to Al Hilal is the latest in a series of high-profile transfers to the Saudi Arabian league. In recent years, the likes of Carlos Tevez, Javier Hernandez, and Gonzalo Higuain have all moved to Saudi Arabia for big-money deals.

The Saudi League is now one of the richest in the world, and it is attracting some of the biggest names in football. It remains to be seen whether Neymar can revive his career at Al Hilal, but the move is certainly a gamble.

Neymar’s move to Al Hilal is a risky one, but it could be a masterstroke. The Brazilian forward is still one of the best players in the world, and he could be the difference-maker for Al Hilal in the Asian Champions League. However, he will need to adapt to a new league and a new culture, and he will also need to stay fit. If he can do all of that, then he could be a huge success in Saudi Arabia.

Neymar’s move is also a sign of the growing financial power of the Saudi Arabian League. The league is now able to attract some of the biggest names in football, and it is only going to get stronger in the years to come. This is good news for fans of football, as it means that we will get to see more of the world’s best players playing in different leagues.
