Ngaoundere: Many battle for their lives, school community inconsolable following an accident that claimed lives of two students

Many of the victims of yesterday’s accident in Ngoundere are still in hospital battling for their lives after an accident that claimed the lives of two students of the Government Bilingual High School of Malang in Ngaoundere, Adamawa Region.

The tragic incident took place yesterday, Friday, November 11, 2022, after the vehicle crashed into a building.

According to sources, the two students, whose names MMI got as Bebbe Salamatou and Longassiri Popina died in the accident. one died on the spot while the other died later in hospital.

In a public announcement, the principal of the institution wrote, “The Government Bilingual High School of MALANG is mourning. Serious accident this morning between the host town and the BORONGO village.”

It is reported that the regional and divisional delegates of Secondary Education visited the scene and later the school.

“Due to the high tension, the school was closed early, only to resume on Monday. The Flags were flown at half-mast, ” a student of the institution told MMI.

Apart from the deceased, all passengers of the vehicle are reported to be, “… in a critical state in a nearby hospital, ” according to our source.
