Ngaoundere: Man kills brother, stages his kidnap to extort money from family

A man by the name of Aboubakar Sidi is reported to have killed his junior brother and staged his kidnap in order to extort money from his family, in Ngaoundere, Adamawa Region of Cameroon.

According to reports, Aboubakar murdered his younger brother and kept his corpse under the bed in their home.

He went ahead to frame up a kidnap story to extort money from his family.

He anonymously demanded a ransom of millions from his family members for the release of the brother, whom he had already killed.

However, the odour from the decaying corpse of the young boy became a hindrance to his plans advancing as it attracted people, which later led to the discovery of the horrible act.

Security forces were immediately called upon and the alleged murderer was arrested pending further investigations.
