Some staff of the Ngaoundere Regional Hospital have been arrested and detained following the dissappearance of 16 million from the coffers of the public health facility.
The four, all cashiers, are identified as Adjaratou Ali, Haman Elvus, Siroma Halimatou and Lele Chanceline.
According to reports, they were given a temporal detention of 6 months after being unable to explain the whereabouts of the sum of 16,855,100 CFA.
Meanwhile, others hold that the detained staff could simply have been victims of a conspiracy or a set up.
They are currently detained at the Ngaoundere Central prison as investigations ensue.
