Latest updates indicate that Ngwa Richard, a Bafut local, found dead on Monday was reportedly lured and killed by the Military, MMI has gathered.
A close family source of the deceased who opted not to be named said Ngwa Richard had told his wife to go home after a church activity, before he fell into the hands of his killers.
“That man was my sister’s husband,” the source said adding that, “He was in church on Friday with my sister (his wife) to mark their church card for communion service.”
“His wife wanted to go to the market and buy after marking her own card… The husband cautioned her to go home rather because the military men were at the junction,” the source narrated.
When his wife left, the source said, “He received a call and was directed to come over.”
“When he followed as directed, he was taken by the military who asked him to lead them to Agyati,” he explained adding that, “Ngwa hoped he was going to be let go at Agyati.”
He was reportedly not seen again as family members search for his whereabouts to no avail.
“It was on Monday that my sister sent me picture of her husband found dead,” he went on.
The deceased, according to information gathered, was harassed by the military several times before the day he was lured and killed.
“The military came to his house the first time and carted away all of his working tools for no good reason,” the source revealed.
It should be recalled that Ngwa was doin g metal works in Bafut.
