A Nigerian-based masseuse by the name of Joyce Ijeoma is reported to have collapsed while attempting a 72-hour Massage marathon aimed at setting a new Guinness World Record.

According to reports, Ijeoma had done a total of 50 hours into her attempt when she suddenly collapsed.

In a viral video, her colleague could be seen trying to raise Joyce back to her feet to no avail.

“The Instagram live, which aired her activities, ended abruptly,” Sahara Reporters added.

Although Ijeoma did not meet her expected target, she has, however, gone beyond the current record.

The current record for the longest massage marathon was set in 2015 by South African, Alastair Galpin, in South Kalimantan, Indonesia.

While Galpin currently holds the record for the longest full-body massage in 25 hours and 4 minutes, should Ijeoma’s attempt be confirmed, she will become the new record holder.

Joyce Ijeoma’s team is yet to officially react to the incident.
