Nkambe: Council empowers Binshua women

The Nkambe Council in the Donga Mantung Division, North West region of Cameroon under the leadership of Musa Shey Nfor has embarked on the process of decentralizing the women empowerment centres in the council area.

During a ceremony that took place over the weekend and presided at by the 1st deputy mayor of the Nkambe Council, Mme Adjara Danjuma, the women and population of Binshua officially received a renovated women’s empowerment centre equiped with sewing and zigzag machines, furnitures and training equipments to train girls and women free of charge in Binshua village.

Speaking during the handing over ceremony, Mme Adjara Danjuma cautioned the women to make good use of the equipment and challenged the population to send their girl children to the Binshua women empowerment centre for training instead of sending them out for early marriages.

In the days ahead, other villages in Nkambe shall benefit from similar gesture.
