The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has been acquitted by Nigeria’s Appeal Court in Abuja.
He was released today, October 13, 2022, as his arrest from Kenya was declared by the Court illegal.
The political figure was arrested and detained by the Buhari-led government after being accused of treason and terrorism-related activities.
According to Punch Newspapers, “The Appellate Court in a judgment by Justice Oludotun Adebola held that the Federal Government breached all local and international laws in the forceful rendition of Kanu to Nigeria thereby making the terrorism charges against him incompetent and unlawful.”
In a viral video, a good number of Biafrans could be seen jubilating and chanting” Holy, holy holy, Nnamdi Kanu is another Savior”.
