North West: 19 Students Benefit from PCC Empowerment Scholarship

Some nineteen less previledged students in Presbyterian Schools in the North West Region are currently taking part in a three-day retreat at PSS Mankon, Bamenda.

This is in line with the PCC empowerment scholarship program.

These students who are on an empowerment scholarship scheme will be drilled on effective studies, responsible behavior, vision of the empowerment scholarship, as well as benefit from consultation and counseling sessions.

Speaking during the opening session of the empowerment scholarship session, the Principal of PSS Mankon, Dr. Mbaku Henry, called on the students to make good use of the the opportunity by paying attention to all the lessons that will be taught. This he noted, will go a long way to boost their everyday efforts to becoming great leaders of the country.

Some of the selected students also expressed their satisfaction, hoping the program will go a long way to broaden their scope of reasoning.

“I will learn new skills that will make me more responsible in the way I behave and I will also learn how to engage better in my studies”, one of the beneficiaries said.

Present to oversee the general success of the August 10 to 12 event, is the Scholarship Board Secretary of the PCC, Rev. Ajime Nelson together with some facilitators.
