Menyong Gilbert, Senior Divisional Officer for the Bui Division in the North West Region, has ordered the closure of community schools across the division.

The decision is contained in an a prefectural order signed by Menyong Gilbert, on August 29, 2022.

“With effect from the date of signature of the present Order, the creation/existence of “so-called Community schools” and other Institutions of learning (Nursery, Primary, Secondary and high schools) not duly accredited by law is hereby prohibited in Bui Division, ” Gilbert indicated.

He added: “any person or group of persons who violate or attempts to violate this Order shall be prosecuted in accordance with the laws and regulations in force. “

The Bui SDO equally called on all Divisional Officers, mayors and other administrative authorities to endeavor to implement the above-mentioned order.

This comes shortly after the Senior Divisional Officer of Boyo in the North West Region, disclosed a list of banned community schools in the Boyo Division.
