North-West: Regional Assembly boss condemns heightened insecurity

The North West Regional Assembly has condemned the rate of violence, killings, and long-standing school boycott calls in the region saying they are repugnant to the customs of the people.

In a Press Release, the president, Fru Angwafo III, calls on the population to show restrain and denounce perpetrators of the crimes.

The North West Regional Assembly acknowledges that the right to life, health, education, and freedom of movement has been seriously compromised.

In the release, parents have been asked to disrespect school boycott calls.

It also declares the comfort of the assembly in the resolve of the governor to take up measures against acts of indiscipline by the forces of law and order.

The Regional Assembly president also requested all Northwesterners the world over to focus their energy towards building the shattered region.
