Ntougou Mpile appointed coach of Intermediate Lions

Martin Ntougou Mpile has been named the head coach of the intermediate Lions of Cameroon. He will be assisted by Pagou David.

The appointment comes less than three months before the start of African Football Championship (CHAN). The championship to be hosted by Cameroon from the 16th of January to the 7th of February 2021.

The decision has been taken this day Wednesday October 21st 2020 by the minister of sports and physical education Narcise Moulle Kombi in the course of a meeting between the minister of sports and Cameroon Football Federation(FECAFOOT ).

The new appointments shows that Yves Clement Aroga has been placed under FECAFOOT at the moment.

There have been different reactions following the decision of the minister of sports. To some, less than three months to the championship, this should not be the time to change coaches. To some football analysts, Martin Ntougou Mpile has proven his worth in such competitions and the need to maximise chances of Cameroon winning the championship at home.
