The Fon of Oku, HRH Ngum IV, has called upon his subjects to be peace loving and work towards the development of their Fondom.

He made the call Thursday, April 20, during the annual ‘Grass Cutting festival’ of the Oku people.

The cultural event, which held at the Oku Fon’s palace, brought together
the living forces of Oku in and out of the Fondom.

Addressing his kinsmen during the annual grass cutting ceremony, the Fon encouraged, “the spirit of unity and love for one another, as these are ways in which development can come to o Oku.”

Noting that the festival was open to all sons and daughters of the soil, the monarch emphasized the need for the people “to respect their tradition and culture as it is their first identify.”
