Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana made his first appearance at Old Trafford in the club’s friendly against RC Lens this Saturday.
The game had a slow start for the Red Devils, as the visitors opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a goal from Florian Sotoca.
This score remained until halftime. During the second half, Onana kept a clean sheet, and goals from Rashford (48), Antony (53), and Casemiro (59) ensured that United carried the day.
This is the third appearance for Onana, who has already made two appearances for United in their pre-season tour of the United States and today made his home debut against Lens.
The match is United’s final friendly before the start of the new Premier League season, and it has been a chance for Onana to show Erik ten Hag what he can do.
The 27-year-old is a highly-rated goalkeeper, and he is expected to earn the number-one spot at United this season.
