Information reaching us have it that the Cameroon defence forces and Separatists were involved in another feisty confrontation in Esu today. Esu is a village in the Menchum division of the North West Region.
The gun exchange reportedly happened at about 2 am today.
In the course of the fight, one of the separatist fighters is said to have been killed by a bullet from the army.
A woman believed to be the second wife to a retired military man in Esu is equally said to have been injured by a stray bullet. She is currently being treated at a hospital.
The corpse of the separatist fighter meanwhile, has been displayed at the Esu park by the military.
