An estimated 100 artists in Cameroon beseiged the ministry of communication office on Wednesday in Yaounde, capital city of the country.
The artists are demanding 850 million CFA francs in royalties paid by state broadcaster, Cameroon Radion Broadcaster (CRTV.) According to our sources, the Ministry of Culture has already approved the payment, but the Ministry of Communication is blocking the disbursement.
The communication minister headed by Rene Emmanuel Sadi has not yet commented.
This is not the first time that artists in Cameroon are protesting.
This is a developing story!
