The Popular Action Party has predicted that the forthcoming municipal and legislative elections will be marked by irregularities, fraud and rigging.Going by this, PAP has taken a stand not to run for the elections in February 2020.In a release signed by the communication secretary of the PAP party, Fabrice Lena, officials of said the party is expecting steps that can stop the war in the anglophone regions and not elections. PAP also calls for the demilitarisation of the North West and the South West to bring about peace in the regions.The party goes on to regret the sufferings of over 50.000f refugees and half a million internally displaced persons. To the party, the material and human destruction in the anglophone regions needs proper attention before any election in Cameroon.Besides insecurity, the party headed by Njang Denise Tabe says the electoral code is not favourable for all political parties but tailored to meet the aspirations of the ruling Cameroon People Democratic Movement party.The stand of the Popular Action Party falls in line with other political parties like the Cameroon People’s Party (CPP).
