At least 37 persons have been severely injured following a suspected gas explosion in Rue Saint-Jacques in the French capital, Paris.
In the course of the explosion, a building that housed a design school and the Catholic Education system headquarters collapsed.
“I smelled gas prior to the explosion, but it took several minutes after the explosion for me to get back to my senses,” stated an eyewitness.
Four persons out of the 37 victims are reported to be in a critical state at the moment.
